Cuando nos detenemos a pensar en cómo nuestra profesión como arquitectos evolucionará con el pasar de los años, debemos pensar más allá de lo que puede pasar en el mundo. Por ejemplo, nunca nos imaginamos que viviríamos una pandemia y nos tendríamos que adaptar en tan poco tiempo a nuevas maneras de laborar.

When we stop to think about how our profession, as architects, evolved over the years, we must think beyond what can happen in the world. For example, we never imagined that we would experience a pandemic and we would have to adapt in a short time to new ways of working.

La velocidad del cambio que estamos viviendo es inimaginable. Y debemos pensar que esto solo es el principio.

The speed of change that we are living is unimaginable. and we must think that this is only the beginning.

¿Arquitectos en 2050?

Antes de avanzar tantos años debemos ver en donde nos encontramos y que es lo que ahora se está tomando en cuenta para los arquitectos que vivimos el 2020 y consideramos innovador, atractivo y nuevo para nosotros. Actualmente los arquitecto buscamos materiales orgánicos para reducción de costos, para tener un menor impacto ambiental , buscamos la manera de hacer proyectos con enfoques colaborativos o crowdfunding, igualmente tener un enfoque sobre infraestructuras verdes con eficiencia energética.

Before moving forward so many years we must see where we are and what is now being taken into account for the architects, who live in 2020, and what we are considering innovative, attractive and new. Currently, the architects are looking for organic materials to reduce costs, to have a lower environmental impact. We are looking for ways to do projects with collaborative or crowdfunding approaches, as well as having a focus on green infrastructure with energy efficiency.

Sin embargo, para pensar en un futuro más lejano, tenemos que identificar las tendencias y factores que nos afectarán en el pasar de los años. Tendencia es la inclinación natural del arquitecto hacia una cosa y los factores es la influencia que contribuye a producir un resultado en este caso lo que nos afectará de manera indirecta a los arquitectos.

Therefore, thinking about a more distant future, we have to identify the trends and factors that affect us over the years. Tendency is the architect's natural inclination towards a thing and the factors are the influence that contributes to produce a result in this case, which affects us architects indirectly.

FACTORES | FACTS

CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO

El cambio climático es uno de los asuntos más urgentes a tener en cuenta cuando se habla de futuras ciudades ya que es el factor menos impredecible pero el factor que mayor causamos por la manera en que proyectamos y construimos.

Climate change is one of the most urgent issues to consider when talking about future cities, It is the least unpredictable factor but the main factor that we cause by the way we project and build.

TECNOLOGÍA DISRUPTIVA

Tecnología disruptiva es cualquier tecnología o innovación que deja obsoleta la tecnología anterior. Se usa el término disruptivo porque produce una ruptura brusca, en ocasiones causando cambios profundos en nuestro modo de vida. Por ejemplo, la digitalización de la industria de la construcción es hoy una de las mayores oportunidades de inversión mundial.

Disruptive technology is any technology or innovation that it lets the previous technology obsolete. The term disruptive is used because it produces a sudden break, sometimes causing profound changes in our way of life. for example The digitization of the construction industry is today one of the greatest investment opportunities in the world.

DENSIDAD URBANA / COMPORTAMIENTO HUMANO

El crecimiento constante de población lleva a la necesidad de crecer en altura, o en niveles subterráneos que a su vez afecta las interacciones entre las personas, permitiéndoles interactuar y conectarse en espacios diseñados para fusionar el estilo de trabajo con el estilo de vida.

The constant growth of the population leads to the need to grow in height, or in underground levels, which affect the interactions between people, allowing them to interact and connect in designed spaces to merge work style with lifestyle.

VIVIENDA EXTRATERRESTRE

La sobrepoblación, falta de espacio y futuros eventos naturales causados por el cambio climático nos lleva a La idea de viviendas en otros planetas. Muchos consideramos irreal e inútil, ya que no deberíamos pensar en comenzar nuevas civilizaciones en el espacio exterior cuando aún no hemos resuelto una forma eficiente de habitar nuestro propio planeta.

Many of us consider it unreal and useless, since we should not think about starting new civilizations in outer space when we have not yet figured out how to develop an efficient way of inhabiting our own planet.

ARQUITECTURA VIRTUAL / INTERNET DE ESPACIOS

Un proceso digital que da lugar a un mundo paralelo, donde el diseño puede ser manipulado y modificado, incluso tener la experiencia de habitarlo, en tiempo real. Nunca ha sido más fácil para el arquitecto presentar su obra, ni para el cliente visualizarla.

CIUDADES INTELIGENTES

Las ciudades crecen y los habitantes ofrecen toneladas de información para ordenar y analizar. En el futuro cercano, la manera de vivir la ciudad se multiplicarán hasta que puedan controlar todo, desde recolecta de basureros, hasta condiciones de la carretera y consumo de energía.

Cities grow and inhabitants offer tons of information to organize and analyze. In the near future, the way of living the city will multiply until they can control everything from street lamps and garbage cans, to road conditions and energy consumption.

ROBOTS DE LA ARQUITECTURA

La robótica está llegando a la industria de la construcción. No pasará mucho tiempo antes de que ayudemos a diseñar un proceso de construcción que involucre robots de ensamblaje. Máquinas que ayuden a la impresión en 3D a ampliar en gran medida los límites de las tecnologías de construcción.

Robotics is coming to the construction industry. It won't be long before we design a construction process involving assembly robots. Machines that help 3D printing greatly expand the limits of construction technologies.

SOSTENIBILIDAD/ CIUDADES VERTICALES VERDES

Crecimiento desproporcionado de la población mundial reduce la cantidad de espacio para habitar la tierra. Para lograr ser sostenible verticalmente, las ciudades necesitarán concientizar sobre el consumo de energía, pero esto no significa nada si el ecosistema sufre como resultado del edificio.

Population growth reduces the amount of space to live the earth. To be vertically sustainable, cities will need to raise awareness about energy consumption, but this does not mean anything if the ecosystem suffers as a result of the building.

PÚBLICO VS PRIVADO

Los arquitectos se están dando cuenta de las necesidades de crear espacios inclusivos que compartan los mismos valores que sus vecinos y el público en general.

Con las nuevas tecnologías, se han podido diseñar desarrollos como microciudades que ofrecen servicios diferentes a una sociedad por ejemplo un edificio privado incluye instalaciones de reciclaje o alguna función de dominio público.

The architects are realizing the needs to create inclusive spaces that share the same values as their neighbors and the general public.

New technologies can design micro-cities that offer a range of different services to a society, for example a private building includes recycling facilities or some function in the public domain.
